Accessible Istanbul report

There is a wheelchair ramp located at entrance of the Blue Mosque. The mosque staff provide their own manual wheelchairs to disabled guests. Because there are impressive hand-woven carpets inside. Staff are very friendly.

There is a wheelchair accessible entrance at the west corner of Hagia Sophia Museum.

The Topkapi Palace, former home to the Ottoman Sultans is mostly accessible. There are a few cobbled areas but the harem and treasury that are especially interesting can be easily accessed.

The Archaeological Museum has a stair climber and is completely accessible.

The Basilica Cistern has a separate entrance for disabled travellers.

Both the spice Bazaar and the Grand Bazaar are accessible to wheelchairs

Another highlighted trip is a cruise of the Bosphorus and boats with allocated wheelchair ramps and staff will assist you.
